House mice can only access the MX1 through the bottom of the system. This prevents the original travel paths of the animals from being disturbed, and the scattering of bait material is nearly eliminated.

The station provides mice with a comfortable retreat due to the thermal-insulating EPP material, which was even used as a nesting site by rodents during our practical tests. Bait materials are particularly reliably accepted, and acute treatments with the use of two snap trap
